The route

The Grand Départ, Swiss edition: a 138 km loop through the Vaud countryside that calls itself flat while packing in four categorized côtes, the last of them — Saint-François — kicking up at 4.6% inside the final kilometres of Lausanne. A sprint, but only for sprinters who can climb a bit.
