The route

From the UCI's home town of Aigle along the Rhône Valley and the Lavaux vineyards to Geneva, with five côtes scattered through Swiss wine country — including the 10.4% wall at Bougy-Villars. All of it crests far enough out that the sprinters' teams should reassemble for a lakeside finish.
